Shun-giku no goma-ae
Last Sunday, we got fresh shungiku (a.k.a. Chrysanthemum greens) from Yasutomi Farms at the Hollywood Farmers Market and cooked up a simple goma-ae, finished with our Yuzu Shio Koji. As with all of our recipes, this one comes together in minutes and is perfect for one. Double it for two.
Ingredients
large bunch shungiku
1 Tbsp sesame oil
½ Tbsp Yuzu Shio Koji
½ Tbsp sesame seeds
Directions
Blanch a large bunch of shungiku in a pot of boiling water for 40 seconds to 1 minute.
Cool the greens down in a bowl of cold water.
Separately, mix sesame oil, Yuzu Shio Koji, and sesame seeds in a small dish.
Cut the cooled shungiku into strips about 2" long, and dress with the mixture from step 3.
